On April 29-30, the 5th Conference on Intellectual Property, organized by the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO), was held in Alicante, Spain. The event was attended by Ms. Tika Nebieridze, Deputy Chairperson of Sakpatenti, and Ms. Dea Tchitcinadze, Head, Division of Trademarks and Geographical Indications.
On April 30, the closing event of the joint project of the National Intellectual Property Center of Georgia – “Sakpatenti” and the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) was held. The “Project on Collective Management, Branding and Commercialization of Selected Registered GI in Georgia” was a one-year project and was aimed to support the farmers, associations and entrepreneurs who produce unique Georgian products marked with geographical indications and appellations of origin.
